Rincon- Wayne Hilburn Phillips Sr  ,  76  , passed away on May 30th at home surrounded by his family. 

The Evans county native served 6 years in the Marine Corps as a Sniper. He then went onto work for Grumans for 12 years until the company was bought by Gulfstream Aerospace. He continued to work for Gulfstream for another 25 years. He retired from Gulfstream  and went onto to work for Rincon Tire as a mechanic. There in 2009 he suffered a massive stroke. 

He is survived by his three sons: Wayne H Phillips Jr ( Victoria), Maurice ( Katina) and Chad. His grandchildren and step grandchildren: Wayne H Phillips III, Michael, Jordan, Madison, Lisa Castanon, Katherine Phillips. His great grand children : Tobias Castanon, Alessandra Castanon, Grady Tigue
