Manchester-Wanda Mourao, 88, died comfortably on October 14, 2016 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home with her loving husband by her side. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester, born on November 5, 1928 to the late Timothy and Agata Oczykowski.Wanda married her husband of 69 years, John, on June 28, 1947. This was a wonderful example of true love.Wanda was a housewife. She and her husband brought up two nieces, Helen Grimard and Wanda "Bonnie" Kafejelis like they were their own children. She took care of her father when he became ill until he died. Later in life, her mother became ill and she cared for her for many years until she died. After that, she babysat her niece's daughter daily and then years later, her grand niece's son while they had to work. She was always taking care of someone and if she heard of anyone in need, she was always right there to give a helping hand.She was survived by her loving husband, John Mourao until his death on November 1, 2016, and many nieces and nephews. Wanda is predeceased by her sister, Helen Marchut, and her brother, Timothy Oczykowski.A Christian Mass will be celebrated for both Wanda and her husband at St. Hedwig's Church in Manchester on November 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Hedwig's Cemetery in Bedford.Go to www.durningbykowskiandyoung.com for on-line condolences.
