Walter J. Morrissey, Sr.Naples, FLWalter J. "Joe" Morrissey Sr. passed away peacefully on May 21, 2017. He was born on August 17, 1931 in Worcester, MA to Walter and Margaret Morrissey. Joe graduated from Shrewsbury High School and Wentworth Institute. He married Natalie Enos on May 4, 1957 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in New Bedford, MA. He and his wife resided in Shrewsbury, MA for 41 years then moved to their summer home in Hyannisport, MA for five years before moving to Naples, FL in 2003.Joe was a Civil Engineer and worked in Massachusetts, primarily in the construction field, throughout his career. He also had a background in architecture and designed the two homes in which he and Natalie raised their children. He and Natalie operated Small Fry Circle, a private kindergarten, for eight years in Shrewsbury. Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Army.Joe is survived by his son, Walter J. Morrissey Jr.; daughter, Andrea Marsh and her husband, Michael; and grandchildren, Brianna Marsh and Sean Marsh. He is predeceased by his son, John, and his sister, Mary O'Rourke.Calling hours will be from 6 - 8 PM, Friday, May 26, 2017 at Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 27th at 11:30 am at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 5260 28th Avenue SW in Naples.
