Walter F. KheuneMARION: Walter F. Kheune, age 91, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.Walter was born on July 5, 1925 in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Lewis and Lena (Smith) Kheune, both of whom are deceased. He married Bettie J. Wilson on April 20, 1947 in Greencamp, Ohio, and she survives.He is also survived by 3 children: Connie (Frank) Webb of Nevada, Larry Kheune of Marion, Phyllis (Dan) Alspach of Bucyrus, along with 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Walter is also survived by a son in law Frank Young of Stevenson, Alabama.He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 daughters Sandra Bowyer and Diane Young, along with 2 sisters Alice Roop and Helen Wilson.Walter worked for over 25 years for The Timken Company in Bucyrus. He attended Heritage Bible Church in Marion.For hobbies he enjoyed doing yardwork and spending time with his family.Funeral services for Walter F. Kheune will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Heritage Bible Church in Marion with Rev. John S. Burroughs officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.Visitations will be held on Tuesday, from 5pm to 8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and 1 hour before service time at the church on Wednesday.Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Bible Church or Heritage Christian School and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S.
