Eng, WalterWalter Eng of New Milford, CT died peacefully in New Milford, surrounded by his children and grandchildren on October 27, 2016 . He was 84 years old.Walter will be dearly missed by his wife of 59 years, Hilde Eng, their children Wayne, Peter, Diane, Teresa, Dian and Kevin; his grandchildren Steven, Tyler, Amanda, Michael, Owen, Andrew, Austin, Adam and Katie and his great grandchildren Kiera and Sage. Walter was born on September 22, 1932 in Fecetic, Yugoslavia. Walter grew up in Salzburg, Austria where he loved to hike and ski. He moved to Ridgewood, New York where he met his wife Hilde. Together they raised their children in Glendale, New York and New Milford, CT. Walter was an accomplished woodworker who loved travelling, nature, dancing and holding hands with Hilde. He was his grandchildren's biggest fan. Whether it be Navy Graduation, following dreams in Idaho, a track meet, a first choice grad program, listening to the band or cheering on the Renegades and Thunder; he couldn't have been a prouder Poppo. A Memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on a date yet to be determined.
