William Junior Clark of the Little Horse Creek community in Lansing passed away on Jan. 30, 2015 at Forest Ridge. He was 88.
He was born on March, 27, 1926 in Lansing to Cordelia Ham and William Clark.
He attended Lansing High School and graduated from Draughton Business School. Bill served in the U.S. Navy until 1946, attaining the rank of Seaman First Class. On Aug. 11, 1950 he married Cora Ruth Rash. Bill worked at Sprague Electric until retiring in 1988. He was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church in West Jefferson. Bill will be especially remembered for his interest in genealogy, love of storytelling, wonderful vegetable gardens and his love and kindness toward his family and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Ray, Victor and Frank Clark; sisters, Alice Clark and Doris Greer.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Rash Clark; one son, Bill Clark and wife, Cathy of Lansing; granddaughter, Carmen McGee and husband, Marty of Wilkesboro; great-granddaughters: Mara Hall, Caitlin, Olivia and Cassie McGee of Wilkesboro.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Ken Furches and the Rev. Johnny Goodman. Burial followed in Kemp Lewis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Ashe Services for Aging Senior Center, 180 Chattyrob Lane, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
