Walter “Wally” Bollenbach Glasaco- Walter “Wally” Bollenbach, 50, passed away suddenly on Dec. 4, 2016. He was born on March 8, 1966 and attended Onteora Central School and LIU Southhampton on a Soccer Scholarship. Wally was the first Woman’s International Soccer Coach at Bard College and was also the Kingston High School Boys Soccer Coach. Wally loved cooking and was a chef at many local restaurants in Ulster County; PJ Larkins, Hillside Restaurant, Crossroads, Hillside Manor, Mariner’s Pointe, Capri 400, Roudigans, Mountainside Restaurant, Little Italy, Port of Call and The Hoffman House. Surviving are his daughter, Brittany Rose of Denver, Colo.; father, Walter Bollenbach of Woodstock; brother, Michael (Michele) Bollenbach of Orlando, Fla.; his finace, Pam Snyder of Glasco; cousins, Donna (Eric) Bell, Nancy (Carl) Loughran, Kelley (Robert) Chaplain, Carl (Jeanette) Swenson, Arthur (Mary) Gribbins, Cathy (Eric) Houser, Susie(Paul) Grey, Julie (Kyle) Berryann; niece, Katelyn Bollenbach and Jasmine Weider; nephew, Brandon Bollenbach; uncle, Arthur Gribbins; aunt, Theresa Gribbins; stepchildren, Toby (Tonya) Delair, Aaron Snyder, Martin Castle, and Ashley Castle; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also a favorite little guy, Sal Delair. He was predeceased by his mother, Eileen Bollenbach; parental grandparents, Walter and Mildred Bollenbach; and maternal grandparents, Arthur and Rose Gribbins. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lasher Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Tinker St., Woodstock. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodstock Cemetery.
