Vivian Foote was born to John C. Foote and Monticello Foote in Boston, Massachusetts. She was affectionately known as Vicki or Vik, Viv, and Vivacious Viv by friends and family. Vivian was
a fun-loving, adventurous, and gifted child.
Vicki had a passion for education and learning. She held multiple
degrees. She is a graduate of Lowell Technological Institute with a B.S. in
Engineering, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy. Vicki was
a licensed and practicing pharmacist, R.Ph., for 43 years, including the last
28 years in Alaska. Pharmacy was her calling. She never wanted any other career,
except, perhaps, as a full-time pilot.
Vivian’s zest for adventure led her straight to the skies!
She was a private pilot, a 2nd Lt. in the Civil Air Patrol, and a certified
flight dispatcher. This passion led her to explore Alaska from the skies as
well as on the ground. Vivian did not just love to travel, but she loved
traveling with her sisters, Jessie Williams, Nadine Robinson, and Emmerline
Foote. The sisters went all over the world together; France, Italy, and Russia,
to name a few of their adventures. As preparation for her adventures around the
globe, Vicki studied French, Spanish, and Russian. Vivian enjoyed Russian so
much she became fully fluent in it.
Vivian was baptized and an active member in the Jehovah's
Witness Hall in Palmer, AK, which brought her much joy of service.
Vivian is preceded in death by her son; Anthony Thomas
Foote; father, John C. Foote; mother, Monticello Foote; sisters; Jessie
Williams and Nadine Robinson.
Vivian is survived by her sister Emmerline Foote; brother
John C. Foote, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and
colleagues, all of whom will miss her dearly.
