TOWNSEND, Mass. - Virginia R. (Sharpe) Ball, 92, of Townsend, died Saturday, November 19, 2016, at her home in the loving arms of her daughters and surrounded by the love of her family. She was the beloved wife of Donald R. Ball whom predeceased her on May 12, 2013. November 25, 2016, would have been their wedding anniversary of 72 years. She was selected by the Lawrence Evening newspaper as the most beautiful bride of the month. As an Army wife, she enjoyed living abroad and traveling with her husband and children. Virginia was born on March 15, 1924, to the late Thomas Sharpe and Eunice Lake Aziz and resided in Hampstead, Hampton and Nashua, N.H., before moving to Townsend, Mass., with her husband 13 years ago. She was active in the Salem Order of Eastern Star and enjoyed many activities as the wife of a Bektash Temple Clown and a member of the Townsend Congregational Church. Virginia leaves two daughters, Pamela R. Parker and her husband Steve with whom she resided with in Townsend; Beverly A. Kuncho and her partner in life John Tortorice of Hampton, N.H.; a son Donald R Ball of Colorado; Grandchildren Steven, Paul, Cathy, Lauren, Paige, Jake, Brett, Jeff, Doug, Pam, Mike, Don and Dave; and ten great grandchildren. She also leaves her very dear friend Bea who always made her smile. Virginia is predeceased by her daughter Carolyn E. Lilly, her son-in-law Chief Anthony Kuncho, her step father Joseph Azziz, her loving brother Thomas Sharpe Jr., and her two sisters Barbara Belanger and Eleanor Grand. Mom was a kind and generous lady who loved to laugh and loved her family with all of her heart. Her gentle spirit will be with us always and forever. The family would like to thank Right at Home and The Nashoba Nursing Agency (Daphne, Barbara, Lisa and Paul) for giving great comfort and loving care to all. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2016, at Hampstead Congregational Church, 61 Main Street, Hampstead, N.H. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. The Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street, Townsend, is assisting the family with arrangements.
