Virginia "Eileen" ConnerZANESVILLE: Virginia "Eileen" Conner, 86, of Zanesville, died at 12:55 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013 at her home. She was born on July 13, 1926 in Zanesville a daughter of the late Charles and Grace Mock Israel. She was a member of Brownsville Methodist Church and Carey Street Fellowship Church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who always had a smile on her face and was willing to help others. She was known for her love of ice cream. She enjoyed motorcycle rides, being around children, and cooking. She had special recipes for different people such as her ice cream cake, lemon cookies, tuna pot-pie, meatloaf, chocolate cake, and jelly rolls.She is suvived by one daughter Debbie (Rick) Norris of Zanesville; one son Alan (Tammy) Conner of Nashport; one granddaughter Mandy (Casey) Foster of Nashport; two brothers Harold (Shirley) Israel of NY and Ralph Israel of Zanesville; one sister Sandra Lloyd of NY.; she will also be missed by her "adopted family" Vicki, Lexy, James, Aayla; special cousin Mary Stine; and many others. Special thanks to Ashley and Marsha for their special care and moral support. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Conner; two brothers Richard Israel and Walter Lee Israel.Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the funeral home. Pastor Gabriel Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Forks Cemetery.
