Victor R. Smith, the third child, was born November 7, 1956 to Mr.
& Mrs. Percy Smith, Sr. Vick attended Hattiesburg Public Schools. His
charm and fast talk always captured the confidence of everyone he met.
He had the spirit of a true Hustler which gained him the street name
Slick Vick. He has always been able to make us laugh. Moma often
called him her comedian.
Victor had several jobs in his lifetime, but the most rewarding was
when he became a business owner of the Bar and Grill, he opened on
Dabbs Street in Hattiesburg MS.
Vick met and married Johnnie (Rue) Rogers and was blessed with
a bonus child Annette (Floyd) Rogers Tisdale; and together they bore
three sons; Victor Smith Jr; Michael Smith and Ben (Latina) Smith. Vick
fathered two additional children; Yolanda Santee and Asia (Nikki)
Brown. A true statement about Vick would be, He loved his children and
grandchildren unconditionally. He even marched in the BLACK LIVES
MATTER protest, on behalf of his grandson Victor Kirksey (Baby Vick).
He was determined to get JUSTICE FOR BABY VICK!
Vick was diagnosed with Cancer August 30, 2020 and lost the
battle four weeks later on September 28, 2020. Two days before Vick’s
terminal diagnosis, he repeated the sinner's prayer with his sister
Deborah Reedy, repented and accepted the Lord as his personal savior.

able to prosper.”
