Victor Claeys, Jr. 1932 - 2016Victor Claeys Jr., 84, of Kenosha passed away on July 15, 2016, at his home with his daughters by his side. Victor was born on Jan. 12, 1932, in Pleasant Prairie to Victor Sr. and Augusta (Stevens) Claeys and he attended Pleasant Prairie schools. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1954. He worked for Simmons and for many years with American Motors until his retirement. Victor was a long time member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. He enjoyed auto body work, bowling, fishing, camping, wood working, watching the Food Network and never missing a Packer game. Victor's greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.He was preceded in death by his parents; eight siblings, Camille, Frank, Teophil, Emil, Frank, Paul, August and Donald and the love of his life, Barbara Claeys-Heflin.Victor is survived by two daughters, Vicki Zilonis and Lori Haight both of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Edward (Melania Delara) Zilonis, Shana Ryan, Alyssia Zilonis and Kristi (Arturo) Lopez; 12 great grandchildren, Aamari, Adryanna, Maleyk, Aubree, Da'Cianna, Jenica, Kyrrah, Kobe, Za'Kyiah, Colin, Cameron and Elaina as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.Funeral services for Victor will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home with interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
