Victor "Vic" AgueroAbilene, TXOur beloved son, brother, and friend, Victor "Vic" Aguero, 55, of Abilene, Texas went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Hendricks Medical Center. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory Street in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00M at Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories. Officiating will be one of his good friends, Father Jared Houze, Episcopal Priest of St. Stephens in Sweetwater, Texas.Vic was born on December 16, 1961 in Sinton, Texas to Felix Aguero and Jovita Lopez. He was a graduate of Winters High School and upon moving to Abilene, he graduated from Hardin Simmons with a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology and Master's of Education, respectively. He worked for the Betty Hardwick Center and the Department of Aging and Disability in Abilene. Vic loved working with people with disabilities and made his job a priority, which proves the saying "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life." He was a very friendly, humble and loving man, who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He considered his friends to be part of his family, and he made an effort to keep in touch with all of them.Vic was preceded in death by his father, Felix Juan Aguero of Ballinger, Texas. He is survived by his mother, Jovita Lopez of Abilene; sisters, Tomi Garza and husband Rudy of Abilene, Olivia Sanchez and husband Salvador of San Angelo; brothers, Juan Aguero and wife Rosalinda Aguero of Abilene, Valerio Aguero of Arlington, Marcos Aguero and wife Ada of Fort Myers, Fl, Felix Jr. of Winters, and Frank Aguero of Greeley, Co.; his best friend, Patrick Penton and wife Carolyn of Abilene. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and many special and close friends.The family would like to thank Vic's friends who stood by him, supported his endeavors, and mostly loved him like family, for the love we carry for one another will live on after we are gone.You may view and sign the guestbook at
