We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Vernal Johnson, beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Born on January 23, 1948 in Mount Prospect District, St. Andrew, Jamaica.Vernal lived a life filled with love, laughter, and hard work. He was the son of Raymond Johnson and Marla Watson.

Vernal married Margaret Johnson in the year 50, and together they raised two children, Raymond Johnson and Milton Johnson. He was a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren.

Vernal attended Oberlin High School, where he cultivated a deep love for learning. After finishing his studies, he went on to work as a farmer, dedicating his life to the land and his crops. Over the years, he garnered a reputation for being a reliable and hardworking man, beloved by all who knew him.

On May 10, 2023, we lost Vernal to a stroke. Though his death came as a shock to all who knew him, we take comfort in knowing that he lived a full and happy life, surrounded by love from his family and friends.

Vernal will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and love will continue to live on through his family and friends. We extend our deepest sympathies to Margaret, Raymond, Milton, and their families, and we pray that Vernal may rest in peace, surrounded by love and light.
