Green, Verna Yeager Verna Yeager Green was born on September 16, 1931, in Bozeman, Montana to John B. and Mildred (Williams) Yeager and died on October 15, 2017 in Bozeman Montana. Her grade school and high school were in Bozeman. She married L. Morrish Green in 1947 and spent the next years on the family farm in Bridger Canyon. During those years they had two special sons, John and Steve. In 1969, Verna entered Montana State University as a full-time student, graduating with honors in 1972 with both B.S. and M.S. degrees. The years following included teaching at Havre High School, the Helena Vocational Technical Center, Montana State University, Bozeman; and the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. In 1978, Verna began work as a stockbroker for D.A. Davidson, retiring as Associate Vice President of Investments. These were the most challenging years of her career?cut short with medical concerns that forced an early retirement. Her love for education, books, the arts, civic responsibility and improving the status of women, together with politics, provided her with the opportunity to serve on many commissions, boards and committees. The networking involved brought her many lifelong friends. Membership in the Camelback Christian Church in Scottsdale, Arizona was very special to her. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mildred Yeager; son Steve Green; stepfather, George W. Brenden; Gramps and Nannie Williams who raised the three siblings; sister Donna (B.J.) Wong Demschekno; sister and brother-in-law, Marge and Sam Franks; and husbands Kermit A. Kruse and Paul T. Keller. Verna is survived by son and daughters-in law John (Sandra) Green of Mesa, Arizona, daughter-in-law Carol Green of Bozeman, Montana; grandsons Peter of Newport Beach, California and Chad Green of Bozeman; granddaughters Shawna (Dave) Pass, Colorado; Marnee (Brian) Rosson of Virginia; great grandchildren Taylor and Ryan Pass; Kilie and Neelie Rosson; brother Jack Yeager, Arizona; stepdaughter Ardeth Keller Hines, Washington, D.C.; and the father of Verna's sons, L. Morrish Green, Livingston, Montana; and special nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation has taken place and a family memorial service will be held in the spring of 2018. Her pink granite headstone is in place at Sunset Hills Cemetery Bozeman, Montana.
