Sept. 1925 ~ Dec. 2016Verna Laird Naylor Coon Cleverly, 91 of Bountiful, UT passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 at her home.She was born on September 14, 1925 in Nampa, Idaho the daughter of Frank Sefton and Rhoda Lois Laird Naylor. She was the seventh child.She married Max J. Coon on Sept, 1, 1943 in Salt Lake City, UT. They had four children. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1959. She later married Donald Booth Cleverly on May 11, 1961 and they had two children.She is survived by her husband, Donald, Bountiful, UT, children, Max (Patricia) Coon, Grantsville, UT, Barbara (Ken) Veylupek, Bountiful, UT, Debby (Mark) Rose, American Falls, ID, Frank (Teri) Coon, Taylorsville, UT, Christen (Aaron) Bennett, Tremonton, UT and Scott (Susan) Cleverly of Cincinnati, OH. 26 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Ruth Abbott and Lois McFarland; brothers Frank Jr., Edward, Marvin, and Garth Naylor, granddaughter Michelle.Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the LDS, Orchard Second Ward, 3707 S. 800 W. Bountiful at 1 p.m.; with a viewing from 12 noon to 12:45 at the church.
