Vera Lee HiltonVera Lee Hilton, 90, of Springfield, MO, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2017, in her home. She was born on January 29, 1927. She married Leroy E. Hilton on July 27, 1945, and retired from Lily Tulip after 35 years of service. Vera enjoyed watching the Cardinals, the Lady Bears, and her grandchildren play ball, and fish from the perch off her dock at the lake. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Hilton, her parents, sister and brother. She is survived by her children; Joy Whitcher, Lester (Linda) Hilton, grandchildren; Heather Kuder, Eldon Whitcher, LeOndrea Hilton, Angie (Kari) Harter, 12 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren, and 1 nephew, Leon Hopkins. A special thank you to her caregivers from Home Sweet Home. Visitation will be Friday, July 28, 2017, 10:00-10:30am, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral service will begin at 10:30am, also at Greenlawn North.
