Kolwicz, VeraVera Z. Kolwicz (nee Zaleta), 90, of Avon Lake, formerly of Avon and Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully at Story Pointe on Sunday, December 11, 2016. Vera was born on November 24, 1926 in Danbury, CT. She graduated from Danbury High School and earned a business degree at West Connecticut University. She moved to Avon to be near her grandchildren and she attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Avon. Vera enjoyed reading and fashion. Vera is survived by her husband Emil "Butch" of Avon Lake; her son Jay (Mary Ellen) of Avon Lake; grandchildren Kristopher (fiancée Liz Budzar), Adam (Liz), Sean and Danny and great-grandson Aidan.
