Valerie McAllister, born on October 4, 1957 in Newport, VT, peacefully passed away on April 19, 2024, in Brattleboro, Vermont, United States.
Valerie is survived by her daughter, Katielyn McAllister, who hopes to have as much strength as her as she grows old. She was also a proud grandmother to one grandchild, Jacksyn McAllister. Her love for him was immeasurable! She leaves behind a sister Cathy Peters, a brother Ricky Misner, and many nieces and nephews ,who even though she did not see them as much as she wished, she loved them and spoke about them often. Especially stories about them in their younger days and the crazy antics her and them would get up to.
She is predeceased by her mother Patrica Misner, her father, Wendell McAllister, a brother Bruce McAllister and a sister Sandra Primus.
Valerie had a creative outlook on life and enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, tag sales, driving on back roads and exploring lakes, creating new things out of old things, telling stories, and hearing about her grandson's accomplishments. Her dog Finn has been her constant companion for many years and she loved him above all else!
Valerie leaves behind a legacy of perseverance through all of life's struggles. Through all of her hardships, she pushed forward for the sake of her daughter and grandson. While she may be gone, her spirit will live on in the memories of those lucky enough to have known her. She will be sorely missed by all who she loved and who loved her.
Rest in peace, mom. May your jokes and stories continue to bring joy to the angels in heaven.
You can to the family or in memory of Valerie McAllister.
Val will always hold a special place in Chad's and my heart. Chad had so many great memories of her when he was a kid. We will certainly miss her and we only wish that we had been able to see her one last time. May she be at rest and reunited with her family in heaven.

Even though I didn’t not know Val, she sounds like an amazingly strong and loving person. I am so sorry for the loss of your mom and grandmother Katie and Jax. May your sweet memories take away some of the pain and tears and replace them with smiles and happy thoughts.
