Tressie Leeds, 81Tressie Y. Leeds, 81, of Mountain Home, AR died March 21, 2017. She was born on August 23, 1935, to Henry and Alma Garrison. She is survived by her four siblings, Boyd Garrison, Judy Jones, Janice Henderson, and Christine McDaris; one son, Robert Leeds and his wife, Cheryl; five grandchildren, Adam Leeds-Peralta, Amanda Miklavcic, Brenna Shaw, Brandon Hunt, and John Shaw; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a long list of friends who loved her. Tressie was raised in Isabella, MO and graduated from Gainesville High School. In 1953, she married Louis "Ab" Leeds and they moved to Inola, Oklahoma, and had two children. Tressie became a hairdresser and ran Leeds Beauty Shop. In 1970, they moved to Claremore, OK where she became part owner of Wanda's Beauty Shop. After Ab died, she moved back to Isabella, MO to help care for her mother. There she ran into her old high school flame, Charles Gott. They were married in 1991, and moved to Mountain Home, AR. Charles liked motorcycles, and soon Tressie was riding in his sidecar of his Motoguzzi, and attending rallies. Tressie retired from Baxter Laboratories and later from Baxter Regional Hospital. She loved to work and was still employed as a housekeeper when she passed away. She was a unique individual, the outspoken voice of reason, full of energy, and always baking goodies for her friends. She loved working in her garden and her yard was always blooming. Her favorite hobby was going to thrift stores and hunting for bargains. Tressie lived her life on her terms and she adored and cherished her family. She was Nanny to her grandchildren and they loved her very much. Tressie was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Louis Ab Leeds and Charlie Gott and one daughter, Abbie Leeds. A celebration of life memorial service will be held for Tressie on Sunday, May 21, 2017 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at her home which is located at 8493 Highway 201 North, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
