It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tracy Holman, a beloved Daughter, Mother, Sister, Aunt, and friend.

Tracey Holman was born on January 6, 1974, in New York, NY. She was the baby of two daughters born to the late Mr. Ernest Holman and Mrs. Olivia Holman. The Holman's were a family of three for 5 years until God blessed them with a babygirl who was named by her big sister, Niese. If you know Tracey then you know how much she enjoys a conversation. Niece can recall Tracey talking from an early age as a Toddler. Tracey enjoyed always being the center of attention while attending church on Sundays family outing's, family BBQ's, concerts and visiting the local fairs and other family gatherings. There was never a dull moment when Tracey was around, Niese enjoyed being Tracey's big sister as one of her favorite memories was when they were both surprised with tickets to the New Edition Concert after Sunday Church Service by their parents. As they became older in age, Tracey enjoyed attending many different concerts with her big sister amongst many other activities they enjoyed together.

During Tracey early education experiences, It was at PS.26 where Tracey met her bestie Sherry Wilson, they would than move on together to Jr. High School at 143. Tracy and Sherry where thick as thieves, it was inevitable Sherry would become the Godmother of Tracey's one and only daughter, Olivia. Following the foot steps of her mother, Tracey attended Norman Thomas High School. Tracey took great pride in her education as she was always one of the top students in her class. Also following her mother footsteps; Tracey waisted no time in sharing she played the clarinet as well. After graduating, Tracey continued to pursue her Education at Bronx Community College majoring in Psychology.

At the age of 14, Tracey became an aunt to her one and only niece, Shayniese. Tracey loved being an Aunt and showered Shayniese with so much love. Shayniese can recall her aunt as being someone she can confide in, Shayniese always remembers her aunt as being her very first bestfriend. Tracey was always an ear for Shayniese as a youth and always encouraged her to chase after her dreams.

During the early 90's, Tracey decided to start a new life in Atlanta, Georgia ; "the Mecca of Black Excellence" as she would say. Through Tracey's persistence and determination, Tracey was able to sustain her own apartment and explore many different career paths. Through her captivating personality and infections laugh, Tracey was able to meet a life long friend, Tasha Miller who showed Tracey the ATL way.

Although Tracey left New York City to start a new life, she would then return with a new one. On September 25, 1999 Tracey gave birth to her beautiful fist child. Tracey had so much admiration for her mother, she knew she would name her babygirl Olivia. Olivia can recall putting together 1000 piece puzzles together, playing video games and sharing many jokes and laughter. Olivia took comfort in knowing she could talk to her mother about anything without judgement, Olivia also knew it was a matter of time before everyone in the family knew.

Music held a huge place in Tracey's heart, music was one of the many ways to connect with her. Tracey enjoyed music from Rock n Roll to R&B but nothing stood between her and her most favorite R&B Male Group, Jagged Edge specifically the group twins Brandon and Brian. To know Tracey is to know how much of a fan she was of the globally known group. Tracey joyfully could talk to you about all things Jagged Edge. Tracey dreams finally came true when she had the opportunity to meet Jagged Edge at a CD sign in. Tracey was a lover of life, meeting new people and experiencing new adventures. Tracey will be deeply missed by all she encountered.
