Tom L. TuckerMANSFIELD: Tom L. Tucker, age 76, of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Ohio Health Hospital in Mansfield after a battle with cancer. He was born on July 3, 1940 in Mansfield, Ohio.He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, June (Brucato) Tucker; two children, Tom Jr. (Carlene) Tucker and Debbie (Kevin) Crossen; three grandchildren, Lee & Matthew Tucker and Krystal Crossen; and one sister, Cathy Schmidt. Tom was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ruth & Charles Clifford Tucker. Tom was a committed Christian man who was a very active member of St. Timothy Church and its programs. He was involved with charitable food distribution, church maintenance and many church social events. He enjoyed countless walks with his wife at Charles Mill Lake and many, many trips to Amish Country in Ohio. His marriage to June was a very special one that demonstrated a wonderful bond that was a great example to others. Family was always priority number one for him and he showed it in many ways. He would always attend family gatherings, his grandchildren's events, and provide a helping hand to many in his family. He also was an avid pool player and a regular at the People's Senior Center in East Mansfield. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about World War II history.He especially enjoyed his Yorkshire terrier, Tyler. Tyler is the fourth Yorkshire terrier that Tom and June had and their Yorkies always were an important part of their lives. They considered Tyler their second son. He retired from United Telephone and had previously worked at Mansfield Tire Company. After retiring from United, he successfully sold homes with Summit Homes.He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. We know he is now in a wonderful place with the Lord. Donations can be made in Tom's name to St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Family and friends may call from 10 am to noon on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 1262 Ashland Road, Mansfield, OH. A memorial service will follow at noon at St. Timothy.
