Mr. Join Mckennie , Jr., 29 Brown Street, Wadley, Ga departed this life Sunday, October 16, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Mckennie was a native of Jefferson County born the parentage of the late Tom Mckennie, Sr. and Besty Telfair. He was veteran of the U.S. Army where he served for six years reaching the ranks of SGT (T) E5. He received medals and badges for Rifle Expert, Pistol Marksman and Good Conduct Metal before receiving an honorable discharge. Tom decided that his calling in life was to become an X-Ray Technologist and received his degree before gaining employment at Metropolitan General Hospital and worked until he reached the position of supervisor of Radiology. 

After retirement he returned to Jefferson County. 

He is survived by several family members including several family members including his loving wife Kimberly Mckennie, son Tom Mckennie, daughter(s) Shavonta Bynes, Charkel Freeman followed by this grandkids.
