Muench, Timothy I.Timothy I. Muench, age 67 of St. Germain, WI died on Sunday, January 22nd at his residence. Tim was born on October 24, 1949 in Neenah, WI the son of Albert and Verna (nee Hackstock) Muench. He graduated from UW Stevens Point with a Master's degree in Library Science. He was the business manager and reference librarian for the Appleton Public Library.Tim enjoyed woodturning, wood carving, fishing, reading and volunteering at Wild Instincts in Rhinelander, WI. Tim belonged to the Northwood's Turners, Wisconsin Valley Woodturners, Superior Woodturners and the Headwaters Chapter of Muskies, Inc and the Chain Pounders Muskie League.He is survived by his Wife; Trish Kirk of St. Germain, WI and by his Children: David (Jessica) Muench of Iron Mountain, MI and Kristine Muench of Appleton, WI and by his Stepson: Andy (Sarah) Lonnquist of Portland, OR and by Grandchildren: Eliza, William, Julia Muench and River and Sophie Lonnquist. Further survived by his Brother; Joe (Sheila) Muench of El Paso, TX and Sister; Marne (Joe) Meyer of Green Bay, WI and by several nieces, nephews, cousins, including God-daughter; Stacey Hackstock Spoehr and special friends; Jim and Wendy Ulik and his devoted dog companion, Sadie.He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Verna Muench.Memorial Service for Tim will be held on Thursday, January 26th at 3:00 PM at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, WI with a visitation from 2:00 PM until time of service.In lieu of flowers, donations be made in support of Dr. Takami Sato's Uveal Melanoma research at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Hospital so that future patients can have the benefit of advancements in treating this rare cancer.
