Thomas "Tom" R. Weiss1940 - 2017Thomas (Tom) R. Weiss, 76, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, at the Veteran's Home in Union Grove.He was born on Feb. 13, 1940, to the late Ben and Erma (Baker) Weiss Sr. in Kenosha. He was educated in Kenosha and graduated from Kenosha High School where he was a captain of the 1958 State Wrestling Champs. He received a scholarship to Marquette for wrestling.Tom entered the U.S. Army on Oct. 15, 1962, and was honorably discharged on Oct. 14, 1964.In 1965 he married Carol Libby in Kenosha. They later divorced. Tom married Peggy McFarland in Las Vegas and they later divorced.Tom worked as a program analyst for Massey-Ferguson in Racine for many years.Tom was a huge sports fan, especially a Packer fan. He enjoyed renting cottages in Twin Lakes, gardening vegetables and hanging out with his friends everyday after retirement.Tom is survived by his children Craig Weiss of Kenosha, Linda (Jeff) Ericson of Kenosha, Lisa (Ted) Koba of Kenosha, Dawn McFarland of FL, Shannon Graetz of Racine and Dani Zadurski of LaCrosse and his five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother Ben Weiss Jr.A Memorial Service for Tom will be held on Monday, Feb. 13, at 3 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Full Military Honors will follow.
