LAGRANGE — Thomas E. Scheetz, 72, of LaGrange, died Friday, September 18, 2015, at his residence. Tom was born on February 9, 1943 in Plymouth, Indiana, to Bernard F. and Harriet J. (Haddock) Scheetz. He attended St. Michael's Catholic School and was a 1961 graduate of Plymouth High School. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and spent 15 months stationed in Germany. Tom was the owner of Indian Lakes Liquor in Wolcottville, Indiana, for 31 years. He coached girls junior high basketball at Lakeland for 27 years and was assistant varsity coach for eight years. Tom was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in LaGrange and the Inlakes Investment Club. He also served as the board president for the LaGrange County BZA. Surviving Tom are his fiancee, Vicki McClellan of LaGrange; his mother, Harriet Scheetz of Donaldson, Indiana; a daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Chris Blaize of Kendallville, Indiana; and a granddaughter, Kathryn Blaize. His father and a son, David Scheetz preceded Tom in death. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in LaGrange with Father J. Steele, CSC officiating. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana. Visitation will be held at the Frurip-May Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 22, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A 4 p.m. Rosary service will take place on Tuesday. Memorials maybe contributed to the David M.
