Thomas O'Connor, 70, of Henderson, Nevada, passed on February 13, 2021. Thomas was born on January 30, 1951.
Tom served 7 years in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne Division. After military service, he worked and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
Tom was born to the late Daniel and Catherine O'Connor. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Margaret, his adopted son Darek Krala and his wife, Agata, and granddaughter, Gabby. He is also survived by his son Daniel, wife Amanda, and grandchildren Mia, Stella, and Lydia. Survived also by his daughter Kathy Ann Otto, husband Scott, and grandchildren Spencer and Lilly.
Tom is survived by his devoted sister Helen O'Connor Bifani and her husband, Victor. He is also survived by his niece Colleen Ann Juzwa, her husband Richard, nephews George Daniel MacLarty and Daniel Bifani, great niece Jessica Juzwa Rudin and her husband Corey, great nephew James Juzwa, great great nephews Nathaniel and Christian Rudin, and great great niece Magnolia Grace Rudin. Also, Aunt Eileen Woods, and many, many cousins.
Tom and Margaret loved being retired in Vegas and they took full advantage of all that it had to offer. Tom was a patriotic American. He was a great supporter of veterans and continuously made donations to the Veterans Administration, as well as to many children's charities. He was a man of faith. He believed that "The real measure of a man's character is not by his past mistakes, but by his present actions."
Tom will be cremated in Henderson and the remains will be kept by his wife.
His son, Daniel O'Connor, will have a virtual memorial service at a date to be announced.
