Thomas Junior Williams, 91, passed away at home on Saturday, June 29, 2013. He was born on Jan. 21, 1922, to Thomas James and Clara Belle Williams in Ogden, Utah. He married Marva Colleen Child while at Monahan Gunnery Base. They had three children, Gregory, Kay, and Janet, before getting divorced in 1960. Then he met and married Afton Arlene Baker on March 10, 1961, in Ogden, Utah. They had two children, Alisa and Lynette.During WWII, Tom served in the Army Air Corp and fought in both the European and Pacific theaters, completing 13 combat missions in a B29 aircraft as a gunner. After the war he was an aircraft mechanic at Hill Air Force Base. He went on to become a Crew Chief and an Aircraft Inspector. Then he joined the Minute Man Missile program, transferring to Boeing Aircraft then to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma.Retiring in Oklahoma after 30 years, he returned to Washington State. He also lived in California, Nevada then back in Utah.Thomas is survived by his children, Kay (Ted) Lazenby, Janet (Roger) Reynolds, Alisa (Tim) Davenport, and Lynette (Ken) Huie; and eight surviving grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Marva; second wife, Arlene; sister, Virginia Trotta; son, Gregory; and grandson, Justin Huie.Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday, July 5 at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a .
