Thelma M White Freeman, 82, of Sybbie St., Concord, NC, passed away Monday, February 17, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
She was born December 21, 1937 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late John Frank McCauley and the late Julia Barringer McCauley
Sybbie was educated in the Cabarrus County School System and a graduate of Logan High School, she was formerly employed by Fieldcrest Cannon Mills. She was a member of the United House of Prayer for All People where she have served on the Usher Board and was past President for over 40 years, Sweet River Singers of Mallard Creek, and Tambourine Player.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 27th at The Mallard Creek United House of Prayer for All People, 1739 Grace Lane, Charlotte, NC. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with funeral services at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Sidney Cannon, Sr., two late sons and four daughters , James S. Cannon, Jr. four sisters and two brothers
She leaves to cherish fond memories, daughter, Debra McCollough of the home; late son, Bruce White JR. son, Ricky Cannon (Myra) of Concord; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Alfreda Watson Cannon of Concord; sister, Clara McCauley Hall (Amos) of Concord; brother Charles L. McCauley, Sr. (Meria) of Concord; three sisters-in-law, Emma McClain of Kannapolis, Ruby M. McCauley, Angela Elliott McCauley both of Concord; brother-in-law, Gilbert Flowe of Concord; aunt, Sara Barringer of Washington, DC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
