Thelma Aileen Green Brotzman, age 93, of Laceyville, passed away Sunday evening, April 13, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital in Towanda.Thelma was born on February 3, 1921 in Retta, the daughter of the late Bruce Milton and Edna Samantha Young Green. She was a graduate of the Laceyville High School with the class of 1938. After her graduation Thelma soon became the wife of Elston Smith Brotzman on June 25, 1938. Thelma was employed at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, for many years.She was a member of the Silvara United Methodist Church and the Silvara Ladies Aid both for over 66 years. She was a member of the South Auburn Grange # 1188 since she was a little girl. She thoroughly enjoyed flower gardening, in fact some say she had a true Green thumb. She liked reading biographies and romances. She was a romantic at heart but loved what history had to say. She enjoyed her home and friends, but most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Thelma is survived by her children State Representative Tina Louise Pickett of Towanda, Stephen Bruce Brotzman (Annie) of Albuquerque, N.M., John Michael Brotzman (Jennifer) of Windsor, Conn., Julie Aileen Ennis (Rob) of St. Cloud, Fla., Jeffery Richard Brotzman (Natasha), Mt. Laurel, N.J., and Lee Eric Brotzman (Susan) Raleigh, N.C.; her grandchildren Lynne Pickett, Jon Brotzman, Jamie Brotzman, Andrew Brotzman, Michael Brotzman, Sean Ennis, Tom Ennis, Brandon Ennis, Yana Brotzman, Erica Brotzman, Christopher Brotzman, Bill Brotzman, and Journey Brotzman; great-grandchildren Annabella Kokoyachuk, Samantha Ennis, Troy Jacob Ennis, and Liam Asher Ennis; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Elston Smith Brotzman on November 10, 2003, and her brother Elston Green.Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Silvara United Methodist Church with Reverend Richard Card of the church officiating. Interment will follow in the Jersey Hill Cemetery.
