Terry D. "Ribbon" Monks, 65, Monks Road, Corsica, died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Brookville Hospital. He was born on October 31, 1949 in Brookville. He was the son of John Dallas and Ilene Viola (Thomas) Monks.On February 17, 2001 he married the former Debra Ann Bish who survives.He was a veteran.He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Stahlman Coal Co. and later for C&K Coal Co. and most recently for Jefferson Paving and Transport as a truck driver.He was a member of the Pisgah Presbyterian Church in Corsica, the New Bethlehem F.O.E, the Corsica Vol. Fire Co., and the PA Gun Owners Assoc. He loved farming and dirt track racing where he was a member of Jeff Taylor Racing #60 and loved Allis Chalmer's Tractors.He worked with his wife Debbie with feral cats at the Clarion PAWS (Pet Adoption and Welfare Society) and had a love for German Shepherds.Surviving are: Step-Daughter Dawnylle Cerula (Kevin) of Mt. Laurel, NJ; Step-Son – Lee Miller (Brenda) of Hawthorne; Sisters Carol Elliott (C.W.) of Corsica and Kimberly Monks of Rio Rancho, NM; Niece Nicole Oakes (Adam); Nephew Bradley Cochran; Great nieces Audrey and Lillian Oakes; Aunts – Marie Hetrick, betty Zitzelberger, and Ruby Thomas all of Brookville, June Christian of Falls Creek and Pheobe Gelnett of Coolspring; Uncle Leroy Thomas of Brookville; Grandchildren Kylee Grace and Elaina Miller; and Makenzie Paige and Alyssa Kaylin Cerula.He was preceded in death by: Parents, infant brother Thomas Alan Monks.Visitation at the McKinney Funeral in Brookville was on Tuesday, December 2. Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 3, at the McKinney Funeral Home with the Rev. James Dietrich officiating.
