Ted Hansford, 62, of Stephens Georgia, passed away on November 29, 2016. He was born on March 10, 1954 in Athens, Georgia to John Franklin and Anne Hansford and was proud to live his life in Oglethorpe County. He married Debbie Pitts Hansford on June 8, 1985, and they had four children. Ted was a member of Salem Baptist Church and spent his life farming and raising his family in the Salem Community. He took great pride in his children, his family, and living the simple life of farming his cows and horses. His son, JF, is honored to continue the farm his Daddy started with the immense knowledge he passed down to him. Ted's family was his greatest love and his highest achievement. He was a loving and devoted family man and touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with.He is proceeded in death by his father, John Franklin Hansford and survived by his mother, Anne Paradise Hansford. Ted is also survived by his loving wife, Debbie, their four children, Marianne Hansford Camacho (Guillermo), Lisa Hansford, Heather Hansford, and John Franklin Hansford II, and one grandson that he adored, Weston Hansford Camacho. Ted is also survived by a brother, Tim Hansford (Ann) and his nephews John and Jeff Hansford (Emily), a niece, Elizabeth Hansford Skowronski (Piotr), and a sister, Mary Hansford. Ted is survived by an extended family of a father in law Bobby Pitts, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins who he loved so dearly. Funeral services will be Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Brett Mask officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
