We are saddened to announce the passing of Taquala Kinard, who left this world on June 17, 2024, in Newberry, South Carolina.

Taquala was born on April 8, 1983, to her loving parents Larry and Brenda Kinard. She married her beloved spouse Marshall Barksdale in year 4, and together they raised two wonderful children, Garrett (married to Timothy W) and Christian (married to Timothy W Jr).

Taquala attended Newberry High School, where she graduated in 2003. She furthered her education at South Carolina University and graduated in 2007. She dedicated her career to nursing and was a compassionate caregiver to those in need.

Outside of her professional life, Taquala had a passion for cooking and serving in church organizations. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went, and her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

May she rest in peace, knowing she made a lasting impact on the lives of those around her.
