We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Sylvia Holley, who was born on August 10, 1941 and passed away on July 11, 2024 in her hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts.

Sylvia was the beloved daughter of Simp and Maggie Holley, and the proud mother of Shakela, Lavone, Lavern, and Rashiem. She was also a doting grandmother to nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Sylvia dedicated her life to helping others as a full-time nurse, retiring in 2012 after many years of service. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, singing, and dancing, bringing joy to those around her with her infectious smile and positive attitude.

Despite her battle with lung cancer, Sylvia continued to live life to the fullest, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the memories she leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Ms. Sylvia Holley. May you dance in the heavens above while singing your favorite song “ Oh Happy Day”. You are now forever free from pain and suffering.
