Sylvester Scovil of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 79.

Born on November 25, 1945, Sylvester was known for his lively personality and love for life. He was the son of the late Fester and Dorothy Scovil.

Sylvester leaves behind his beloved sisters: Beatrice Frazier, Murley Davis, Annie, Charles Ashford, Elizabeth, Harold Milner, Mary Joseph Bruce, Linda Farley, Jennifer George Banks, as well as his brother James Lewis Scovil. He was preceded in death by his brother Leroy and sister Bonnie Kate.

Although Sylvester never had children of his own, he found joy in his nieces and nephews and loved spending time with them.

Sylvester attended Carver High School and later worked at Hardaway Farm until his retirement in 2011. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool and watching wrestling matches.

Sylvester passed away from natural causes, surrounded by loved ones who will always cherish the memories they shared with him. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
