Susie KrejciDavenportSusie Krejci, 79, of Davenport, died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 N. Main Street, downtown Davenport. The family will greet friends Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Virginia, Iowa on Monday, December 26 at 1:00 p.m.Elizabeth Ann"Susie" Golszanski was born on December 28, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa, daughter of Anthony and Francis (Bachivus) Golszanski. She graduated from high school in New Virginia, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Ronald O. Krejci on January 5, 1957. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2005. Susie, along with her husband Ron, owned and operated "Wheels are Rolling", a courier service for banks for over 10 years.If you knew her, you know there never was and never will be anyone like her. She was born with her heart on her sleeve, fire in her soul, and a mouth she refused to control. Her greatest joy in life were her dogs and Pepsi!Survivors include her daughters, Rosemarie Krejci, , Theresa (Warren) Story-Pillard,, and Christine (Mike) Smith-Heisler, all of the Quad Cities; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, John and Joe Krejci; a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony (Betty) Golszanski, a sister and brother-in-law, Frances "Babe" (Jim) Heles.
