Susan "Susie" Marie (Grinstead) Kumpf

WICHITA, Kan. — Susan "Susie" Marie (Grinstead) Kumpf, 43, of Wichita, KS (formerly of Sedalia, MO) passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 at her home. She was born on May 23, 1973 in Sedalia, the daughter of Sandy Blake (Gary) of Sedalia and Larry Grinstead (Joyce), also of Sedalia.

On January 1, 1999 in Lead, SD she was united in marriage to Brad Kumpf, who survives of the home.

Susie graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1991 and went on to receive her LPN from Boonslick Technical Education Center, Boonville, MO. She loved dearly to take care of others and was known for her "sweet spirit". Susie was an avid KC Chiefs fan, enjoyed painting, cross-stitching and crafts.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three children, Haley Grinstead of Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter, SC, Faythe Grinstead of Tulsa, OK and Kayla Kumpf of the home; two sisters, Stacy Moore (Richard) of Sedalia and Sherri Combs of Augusta, KS; one brother, Mike Grinstead of El Cajon, CA; and half sister, Michelle Shadwick (Marcus) of Springfield, MO.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO.
