It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sue Carter, who was born on July 31, 1932, in Milton, North Carolina, United States. She peacefully departed this world on October 20, 2024.

Sue was married to William in the year 1972 and they were blessed with five children: Joseph Carter, Lyle Ferrell, Darrell Ferrell, Christy Hix, and Catherine Carter. She was also a loving grandmother to five grandchildren.

Sue attended George Washington High School, graduating in 1954, before continuing her studies at DCC. She dedicated three years of her life to the Woman's Ministry at the late Washington Street Baptist Church.

Among her many hobbies, Sue enjoyed knitting, listening to music, cooking her favorite meals, singing, watching movies, and most of all, spending time with her family and seeing them come together to create lasting memories.

Sadly, Sue passed away due to a sudden heart attack but will forever be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the love she shared with everyone she knew. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
