Sue Kubitz, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 21, 2025, in Waukon, Iowa, United States. She was born on April 11, 1955, to Joseph and Mary Gavin.

Sue married Doug Kubitz in 2024. Sue had three children; Tara Sweeney (spouse Pete Sweeney), Cami Hanson, and Austin Bennett. Sue was a loving grandmother to four grandchildren.

Before retirement in 2016, Sue worked as a Registered Nurse at Gunderson Lutheran. She dedicated her life to helping others and was known for her compassion and care towards her patients.

Aside from her career, Sue enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a passion for helping people in need and was always there to lend a helping hand.

Sue Kubitz will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She fought a long battle with cancer with grace and strength. May she rest in peace.
