Stephen M. Hansen RACINE- Stephen Matthew Hansen, age 50, died on September 22, 2016 as the result of an automobile accident. Stephen was born on May 7, 1966 and was the son of James A. and Dorothea (nee Christensen) Hansen. He was educated in local schools and repaired appliances. Stephen loved the outdoors, and spent a lot of time at the family cottage up north. He enjoyed fishing and boating. Stephen was a skilled landscaper, and took pride in maintaining the yards at both his home and cottage. Above all, Stephen was a devoted Christian, and his personal relationship with the Lord was the cornerstone of his life. Left to cherish his memory are his mother: Dorothea Hansen; children: Steven M. Hansen, Nick J. Hansen, Corey M. (Jessica) Hansen, Haley B. Hansen; grandchildren: Mylie Hansen and Corey Hansen; uncle, Max Christensen; special friend, Dennise Thorell and her daughter, Sophia. Stephen will also be sadly missed by his special furry friend, Josie. A celebration of Stephen’s life will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Randal Poppe officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
