Stella Eileen Wickham, age 96, loving wife of the late Milton Neville Wickham and mother of Berkley Wickham, Ingrid Braithwaite, Pamela Haynes, Pauline Wickham, Maureen Anthony, Doreen Bedlow, Claudius Wickham and Sharon Wickham passed away on February 2, 2022. 

Stella was born on November 19, 1925 in Georgetown, Guyana. She began her married life in what was known as "Veloza yard" at Middle Street Georgetown, where her first five children were born. Then settled in Station St. Kitty where she lived surrounded by her family and neighbors. She was a loving and generous woman who was always willing to give of herself, her time and her material belongings to whoever needed it. As a mother, she managed the home and raised her children while loving, supporting and disciplining them. As a grandmother, she loved and spoiled and give even more than she had to them. As a neighbor, she was loving and supportive to all.

She migrated to the US, and lived in Baltimore MD before moving to NY. She continued to love and support her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren wherever she was. She always put her family first and tried to keep the peace at all times. Stella was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and family friends. She loved to dance and when she did everyone saw the joy and excitement on her face. 

She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and those she cared for who became family.
