We are saddened to announce the passing of Stanley Bentley, who was born on December 24, 1942 and passed away on May 6, 2026 in Elmira Heights, New York, United States. Stanley was the beloved son of John and Doris Bentkey and loving spouse of Cynthia Benmey for over 50 years.

Stanley is survived by his two children, Tonya Snyder (Bentley) and Shawn Bentley, as well as his five grandchildren. He married Cynthia in 32, and they had a long and happy life together.

Stanley spent his career working at the Elmira Railroad Association, where he made many lasting friendships and retired in 2016. In his free time, he enjoyed indulging in his hobby of Model Trains, where he built elaborate tracks and intricate landscapes.

Stanley will be remembered for his quick wit, kind heart, and love of trains. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Stanley passed away after a valiant battle with Dementia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Stanley's memory.
