Socorro Padron Lopez of Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico, passed away on February 10, 2025, at the age of 100. Born on May 7, 1938, Socorro lived a long and fulfilling life surrounded by loved ones.

She married her beloved spouse, Emilio Vela Naranjos, in 1964, and together they raised a wonderful daughter, Emilia Vela Padron. Socorro was a devoted mother and grandmother, always putting her family first.

Known for her delicious tamales and infectious laughter, Socorro touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and community.
