Shirley Branch, 73, of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, passed on September 06, 2023 at Vidant Hospital. Shirley was born on February 16, 1950. Shirley gave her life over to Christ at Quankey Baptist Church. Shirley has gone and reunited with her mom Stacy Branch, and her father Johnny Branch. Shirley has 3 daughters left and 2 sons who she loved dearly to cherish her memories Barbara Purnell (Roanoke Rapids) , Caroline Gills (Dennis Gills) (Roanoke Rapids), Kathy Purnell (Richmond VA). David Purnell (Jasmine Purnell, Roanoke Rapids) Marvin Purnell (Stacy Purnell Roanoke Rapids). 2 sisters Clastine Purnell, Joanne Purnell,both of Roanoke Rapids. 7 Grandchildren Shinik Purnell, Denisha Gills, Travis Purnell, Tiera Purnell, Lisa Sykes, Shartoya Webb. Sanchez Gills. 8 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends. Shirley was a very outgoing god fearing woman. Shirley enjoyed playing bingo, doing cross words puzzles and just enjoying everyday with her love ones. Shirley will be missed by many. Shirley was a great cooker, she love cooking just to have everyone gather and watch us all eat and laugh together. Shirley will be missed in so many ways by so many people.
