Celebrating the Vibrant Life of Shawn Stephens
With shattered hearts, we invite you to join us in honoring the extraordinary life of Shawn Stephens, a brilliant soul whose light was extinguished far too soon. Shawn's infectious laughter, unwavering kindness, and zest for adventure touched everyone he met, leaving an indelible mark on our lives.
A proud husband, devoted father, and loyal friend, Shawn poured his heart into everything he did. His professional journey took him from the familiar grounds of Griffith Towing to the new challenges of LKQ in Memphis, TN. But no matter where life took him, his true passions shone through in the joy of fishing with buddies, the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle, and the precious moments spent with his beloved family.
Shawn's world revolved around his daughter, Isabella Raygoza/Stephens, his pride and joy. Her smile was his greatest delight, and her laughter, his favorite sound. He cherished every moment with his wife, Meeghan Stephens, his rock and partner in every sense of the world.
Though his time with us was cut short, Shawn's memory will live on in the hearts of his loving family: his father, James Stephens; mother, Tammy Stephens; brother, Jimmy Stephens (Michaela Stephens); mother, Tammy Roberson; brother, John Mutter; additional brothers, Dylan Gunter, Jessie Sykes (Karrie Sykes), Kevin Andrews, and Keith Sykes (Nicky Sykes); sister, Jennifer Sykes (Michael Graves); and the many nieces, nephews, and relatives who adored him.
As we navigate the dark waters of grief, we find comfort in the memories of Shawn's vibrant spirit. His legacy will continue to inspire us to live life to the fullest, to love without bounds, and to cherish every precious moment.
On Saturday, August 17th, the Griffith Towing company will be hosting one last ride for Shawn. The meet up location is 5234 Summer Avenue with a meet time of 3pm and wheels up at 3:30pm. 240 loop per usual. Wreckers and bikes are welcome. Reach out to Griffith Towing for more information.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 24th, from 12pm to 3pm at the Latimer Lakes Park. We invite you to join us in honoring his memory and sharing in the stories that made his life so extraordinary. A private dinner will be held at the family’s home for immediate family, immediately following the services.
