We are saddened to announce the passing of Shawn Jackson, who was born on May 18, 2007, in Newport News, Virginia. He passed away on September 26, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Shawn was the beloved son of Shawn Smith and Sandra Jackson. He attended Heritage High School where he excelled academically and was actively involved in basketball, cooking, and swimming. His love for these hobbies brought joy to those around him.

Although Shawn had no children of his own, he created lasting memories with his family and friends. His infectious laughter and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the local youth basketball league in Shawn's memory.

Rest in peace, Shawn. You will always be remembered for your warmth and compassion.
