Shaun was born in Montana, but grew up in San Bernardino County. He graduated from Fontana High School in 1969, and joined the Navy.  He served on the USS Seawolf in the Submarine service during the Cold War.  Afterwards, he was employed at Mare Island Naval Shipyard.  Shaun went to UC Berkley and graduated with a degree in Engineering.  Upon the closure of Mare Island, Shaun was hired by the Dept. of Energy and advanced from a Professional Mechanical Engineer to a Staff Civil Engineer.  He finished his career at Lawrence Livermore Lab as a Systems Engineer for the Plutonium Facilities.  During his career he developed many friends, both professionally and socially.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his three children, Kristopher, David, and Shannon; his grandchildren, Haley, Coral, Brandon, Kayla, Shaun, Orion, Kristopher, and Terran; as well as his siblings, Patty, Kevin, Lisa and Mona.
