Sharon E. BlackSharon E. Black, age 79, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Monday, July 31, 2017 at home. She was born on June 25, 1938 to Frederic and Catherine (Janson) Darte, Jr. in Passaic, New Jersey. Sharon was a longtime active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She was an avid traveler whether it be heading east to see family, her mission trips to Israel or Egypt or taking cruises with her husband. She loved baking with her grandchildren and entertaining her family and friends. Sharon's greatest joy was being a wife, mother and beloved Mimi. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, retired Lt. Col. Frank Robson; and stepsister, Pat Lehman. Sharon is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Tom Black; sons, Christopher (Penny), Matthew (Becky) and Jason (Jenine) Black; Mimi to Nadine (Korey), Jordan, Josh, Nora, Wyatt, Emily, Samantha and Veronica; sisters, Penny (Jerry), Pam and Kristi (Wayne); numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.The family will receive guests on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo.
