Shalyna "Shea" Batiste was born on July 7th, 1993 in Chandler, Arizona to parents Tina Hill and Terrance Batiste.
Shea grew up here in the East Valley of Arizona. She graduated from Maricopa High School in 2011. From the day she was born, Shea was in love with art. She was recognized in elementary school for her clay sculptures, paintings and poetry. Her love for paint later turned into a love for make-up. Although naturally beautiful, Shea loved to "beat" her face even if it was just to hangout in the livingroom. In high school, she was on the dance team, track team, sports medicine, was the only girl on the wrestling team, and placed top 10 in the national HOSA competition for her persuasive essay. She loved to spend time with family, especially when it came dance parties with the kiddos. Shea was capable of turning anyone's bad day into a good one and anyone's anger to joy. She had a smile that lit up the room and a laugh that was beyond contagious. Her eyes were always so bright and filled with hope and she always found a way to see the good in everyone. Shea was compassionate, caring, had a heart of gold, and her goofy sense humor often left us in tears.
On Thursday June 25, 2020 our lives were forever changed. Shea leaves behind her mother, Tina Hill and Father Terrance Batiste. Also left to cherish her memory is her many siblings: LaKrisha "Rere" Johnson-Hill, Terressa DeHaven, Jesreka Batiste, Domonique Johnson, Victoria Batiste, Tazreena Batiste, Danzel Hill, Dyson Hill, Kayli Hill, Jamarra Hill, and Michael Hill. Shea also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Shea will be missed by all who knew her.
