Scott M. Garland, age 63 passed into eternal life on August 28, 2019. Scott was born on September 14, 1955, to Richard and Virginia (Walters) Garland.
He married Connie (Mraz) Garland on April 10, 1976, in Mequon, WI and were married for 43 years. They were neighbors and knew each other since the age of eight. He loved to tell this story of how they met.
He graduated from James Madison High School in 1973 and was a gymnast during that time. He further went on to attend Milwaukee Area Technical College and entered into their Airframe and Powerplant course and graduated in 1975, while obtaining his private pilot and commercial pilot licenses. He became employed with Milwaukee Area Technical College in their Airframe and Powerplant course in 1986. While at MATC, he also was the head coach for the MATC Stormers and became the first coach to take the team to a NJCAA Region 4 Championship. In 2015, he retired and enjoyed the new life.
He coached baseball for both his children and loved doing it. He did this for quite a few years and enjoyed traveling with the tournament baseball teams. He was their biggest fan and supporter.
Scott loved many sports, especially NASCAR Racing. His first racing adventure was with Badger Kart Club racing go-karts. He made many new friends who enjoyed this sport. He was also a passionate Milwaukee Brewers fan and watched almost every game, good or bad.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; two children, Christopher (Kim) Garland, Tyler Garland; two grandchildren, Norah and Zoey; brothers Jeffrey (Sandy); Richard (Tina); sisters Jeanine (Garland) Curasi and Cathleen (Ed) Saler. Also survived by brothers-in-law, Paul and Karol Mraz; Richard Mraz and sister-in-law Carol (Thomas) Harrigan. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
